Fulham is eager to get the 28-year-old winger from West Ham.
West Ham United‘s 28-year-old winger Said Benrahma is a target for Fulham, and the Hammers are prepared to approve Benrahma’s departure within the current transfer window, per a report by Football Insider.
Benrahma first went on a brief loan from Brentford to West Ham United at the end of 2020. He joined their first
squad as a key member in the winter of 2021, when the move was declared permanent. But recently, things have
shifted. The 28-year-old is now lower on the hierarchy. Only twelve of his twenty-one outings this season have been
as a starter.
Despite having over two years remaining on his contract with the Hammers, Benrahma want to leave the team in
order to play regular first-team football.
His skills are being sought after by several teams, Fulham included. The Cottages believe the 28-year-old might aid
their case as they seek to bolster their attack with additional firepower. They must therefore wait until the very end of
the current transfer window in order to pursue a move for his services.
The Algerian international, who will not participating in the African Cup of Nations, will be Mohammed Kudus’s (who won’t be available in January) much-needed cover, while Lucas Paqueta is rehabilitating from an injury.
The Hammers will therefore wait until the very end of the transfer window to approve his sale. While Fulham is predicted to seek for a loan arrangement with a buyout option or obligation, West Ham will likely pursue an all-cash deal.
