Celtic star ‘seeks’ move as Rangers get
‘clear path’ to pull off January transfer
As Scottish Premier League football takes
a brief hiatus for the winter, Celtic and
Rangers are currently on vacation. The
two Glasgow teams are now separated by
eight points, but Rangers still have two
games remaining, which gives them the
chance to close the gap to only two points above the top place.
The Scottish Cup, however, will be the
main event when the hiatus finally ends
in about two weeks. While you wait, we
have compiled all of the most recent
information about Celtic and Rangers.
Celtic goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist could
leave the club this month, according to
reports. The keeper arrived at Parkhead
on a free transfer under 18 months ago,
but he has seen little action since.
Siegrist has reportedly changed agencies
in an attempt to put together a chance
away from Celtic, as per the Daily Mail. It
makes sense that he would like to play
football for the first team. Celtic is
currently ranked third, thus it seems
doubtful that they will obstruct the keeper.
Rangers were able to complete a deal
because Celtic, who were also being
connected, will not be moving forward
this month, according to the Daily
Record. The 27-year-old center back
McKenna has played outside of Scotland
since he moved from Aberdeen to Forest
in 2020, despite earning 33 caps for his
country. With no indication of a new
contract at Forest, he may now be headed back north.
