Could CalebWilliams go coast to coast in being favored as the No. 1 overall pick?

For Dean Blandino, the majority of QB-protecting regulations are… The Chicago Bears (via the Carolina Panthers) are set to select first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. The only thing left to decide is who will be selected. Following the Panthers’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, which secured the Bears the top pick in this year’s draft, BetOnline unveiled updated odds for the player who will be chosen first overall. Caleb Williams, the quarterback for USC, is still a strong favorite, as he has been since the previous offseason. His current -425 odds indicate an inferred 80.95 percent likelihood that the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner will be selected first overall.
The following are BetOnline’s complete odds for the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft:

Williams, Caleb -425
+300 Drake Maye
+1000 Marvin Harrison Jr.
Daniel Jayden +2500
+3300 Michael Penix Jr.
+5000 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
McCarthy, J.J. +5000

It’s odd that Williams is still so highly regarded after a very underwhelming 2023 campaign at USC.

The Washington, D.C. native is well-liked by NFL teams, but there has also been talk that Maye might challenge Williams for the first pick in the draft.
Despite Williams remaining heavily favored to be the draft’s top pick, BetOnline is less convinced that it will be Chicago making the selection.

In odds regarding what the Bears will do with the No. 1 pick, the online sportsbook favors Chicago to select a quarterback at -200, with the odds of the team trading the pick set at +140.
