Cardiff City has been linked to a loan move for a budding Aston Villa player
Three Championship clubs are reportedly interested in signing him, including the Bluebirds.
According to Football Insider, Cardiff, Championship rivals Southampton and Watford, and Aberdeen have all
expressed interest in taking 20-year-old Aston Villa midfielder Lamare Bogarde on loan. It is understood that Erol
Bulut wants to improve the midfield options available to him and would ideally like to bolster in that department this
month if the budget allows.
Cardiff has five players on loan at the moment, and they’re probably considering ways to cut that number down so
they can fit at least one more loan signing during this winter transfer window.
Bogarde was on loan at Bristol Rovers, a League One team, for the first half of the season. On Thursday, the team
announced that Bogarde will be returning to his parent club.
Bogarde played for the Gas 18 times during the first half of the season, but once Matt Taylor took over as manager
last month after Joey Barton was fired, he witnessed a decline in playing time.
