The former Hibs full-back is reportedly a target for Ibrox in the January transfer window.

Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement are also said to be fans of the left-sided defender.

The 21-year-old Scot has made 12 appearances for Verona this season to go along with his 22 from the previous one.

During his time in Italy, he has played against Juventus,

Inter Milan, and Napoli, earning him a solid reputation in Serie A.

Gers may not be able to submit an official bid this month since his club is rumoured to be seeking roughly £5.5 million for his services.

But in order to make sure they were paid for their player,

Hellas Verona might have been compelled to operate at a reduced rate due to “economic difficulties.”

According to Tutto Mercato, Torino has already expressed interest in the deal,

putting out a rather lesser £5.2 million sum.

It happens as Ridvan Yilmaz is still fighting for his future in Glasgow and Borna Barisic is barely six months away from his contract expiring.

This week, a story surfaced speculating that the Turkish left-back would possibly be brought to Ibrox as a makeweight for Doig.
