George Karl claims that the real issue facing the Lakers is not Darvin Ham but rather Anthony Davis.

Following the Lakers’ Wednesday home loss to the Heat, head coach Darvin Ham was placed under official review. Ham has been the target of intense criticism from Lakers Nation, with players, supporters, and commentators questioning his lineups and rotations. However, George Karl, the former coach of the Nuggets, believes that Anthony Davis—even more so than Ham—is partially to responsible for this problem.

Although no one player is solely to blame for the current play, considering his position on the squad, Anthony Davis might be among the most deserving of the blame. Even though he doesn’t always play like it, Davis is frequently ranked among the top 10 players in the game and is the team’s best defensive player. He also has a dominant presence inside the paint. and now that the Lakers are struggling, folks are reconsidering their rankings for the All-Star centre.

Anthony Davis Must Take Charge

Anthony Davis led a dismal Pelicans club in New Orleans night after night. He first discovered how to control both ends of the court there, and it was also where he established himself as an All-Star. However, Davis hasn’t quite been able to replicate that kind of output since joining the Lakers and taking home the championship in 2020. After 33 games this season, his averages are 25.2 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks on 55% shooting.
