In Taylor’s first game in charge, an EFL Trophy match that ended in a 2-1 loss against Crawley Town at the

beginning of December, Bogarde made an appearance. Since then, he has not played a single minute, and he was left

out of four of the following seven match day squads.

After making an impression on BS7 the first time, fans were ecstatic to see Bogarde return. Before being fired as manager in October, he was a regular under former manager Joey Barton.

Having said that, Villa intends to recall the player and assign him to a different team before the January transfer window closes.

The midfield player signed his first new long-term contract with Villa in 2020 after leaving Feyenoord. He spent two seasons in the junior system. The following year, he was loaned to Rovers.
