Kerr Smith and Benjamin Kimpioka have confirmed twin signings with St Johnstone.
Before switching to a loan, Kerr signed a new contract with Aston Villa, while former Sunderland forward Kimpioka
arrived on an 18-month contract.
Subject to international clearance, St Johnstone has signed striker Benjamin Kimpioka on a permanent contract and
signed Kerr Smith on a loan.
Scottish central defender Kerr, 19, will spend the rest of the season on loan back up north, according to Aston Villa,
once he signs a new deal. The 23-year-old Swedish forward Kimpioka, who formerly played for Sunderland, has
signed an 18-month contract with Saints, it was also revealed.
Smith will instantly join Craig Levein’s team, although the Premiership match between St Johnstone and Dundee at
Dens Park has been postponed because of a flooded surface.
After making his debut at Ibrox at the age of sixteen, he started his senior career with Dundee United and appeared
in 12 first-team games before joining Villa in January 2022.
Left-back Midway through his season-long loan, Luke Robinson was called back by Wigan, and Dara Costelloe was
called back from his loan by Burnley and has since joined Dundee.
