Shannon Sharpe’s NFL Coach of the Year choice

Shannon Sharpe’s NFL Coach of the Year choice

Everything that has been thrown at the Cleveland Browns this season,

they have scaled through.

The season was marred by injuries, a peculiar circumstance involving Deshaun Watson,

quarterback turnover, and Myles Garrett’s lack of calls from the officials.

Even though one would think that those stats, and the situation would be more than enough for Kevin Stefanski to easily win Coach of the Year,

NFL legends Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Shannon Sharpe think there’s one player who could take the distinction away from him.

Speaking on their Nightcap Show, they made a case for DeMeco Ryans to win Coach of the Year, if the Houston Texans make the playoffs.

Despite all that, the Browns are 11-5 and 8-1 at home and have already secured a postseason berth with a chance of getting the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

“DeMeco deserves credit if Houston, advances to the postseason with a rookie quarterback and head coach,” Sharpe remarked.

They discussed how he should win it, all because he is a rookie quarterback,

and the coach who made it to the playoffs.

That is a convincing argument,

the Texans also appear to be a club that will pose a threat for many years to come.

And appear to be way ahead of schedule.

Nevertheless, it’s difficult to overlook a club that has four different quarterbacks win at least one game,

and has already guaranteed a postseason spot.

The Cleveland Browns narrative is by far the most interesting one of the NFL season,

and it’s high time Stefanski receives his roses.
