New target: Aston Villa now eyeing move to sign 23 y/o forward; NSWE may need just £13m – report

A talented attacking player is reportedly on Aston Villa’s radar; club owners NSWE may be able to acquire him for as cheap as £13 million.

The Villans have recently made some excellent transfers, which has greatly contributed to Unai Emery’s success as manager and helped them move up to third place in the Premier League standings. During the summer transfer window,Pau Torres, Youri Tielemans, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Moussa Diaby were among the players who joined Villa.

To date, their additions have improved the team’s quality and depth,

helping them to victories over teams like Manchester City and Arsenal.

That’s not to argue that additional acquisitions wouldn’t be welcomed with open arms, though,

making sure Emery’s team keeps improving rather than resting on their laurels and running the risk of not improving.

The 23-year-old forward has performed well for his present team this season,

netting five goals in 14 Serie A starts while also dishing out two assists.

It is believed that the Villans dispatched scouts to watch him in action.

Although it doesn’t seem to say whether a January or summer transfer to Villa is possible,

his cheap valuation may work to his advantage and reduce the danger of a move.

Ngonge could prove to be a wise acquisition for the Villans,

giving Emery options in attacking areas that he arguably needs at the moment in terms of solid backup options.

He could also provide Diaby some competition,

as the Hellas Verona star is most frequently used in a right-sided attacking role this season.

Villa has assembled one of the league’s most formidable starting lineups,

but if they are to advance further and perhaps even challenge for the Premier League title,

they may require elite squad players who can blend in well and support Emery in keeping his team’s playing group youthful.

Ngonge is a Belgium Under-19 international who has been capped six times and scored one goal for his nation.

Although he hasn’t played for his country at the senior level,

a move to Villa, where he would be surrounded by better players than at Hellas Verona,
