Rangers have reportedly scouted left-backs Kai Wagner and Fredrik Oppegard in an effort to sign more players.

Fabio Silva, a forward for Wolves, will formally join the Light Blues on loan for the duration of the season when the transfer market opens. The Light Blues revealed yesterday that Silva was their first acquisition of January. Philippe Clement moved on to left-back after securing a forward addition.

Although Borna Barisic’s contract expires in the summer, Ridvan Yilmaz is probably going to leave next month as the Belgian aims to improve in that area and add someone else to rival the Croatian. Additionally, the Daily Record reports that the club is scouting Oppegard of PSV and Wagner of the Philadelphia Union, two MLS players.

Oppegard is younger at 21 and has mostly played for PSV’s second team, with sporadic appearances for the first squad. Wagner, a 26-year-old German, played for Shalke II and Würzburger Kickers before to moving to the United States.

Silva was drawn to the idea of participating in the Europa League knockout rounds, and Rangers overcame a slew of opponents to sign him.

The 21-year-old is capable of playing in the wide or through the middle, and it’s unclear if Clement plans to add more players to his striking department.
