Former NFL superstar criticizes NFL teams
There came a time when the Cleveland Browns were desperate.
They were forced to search far and wide for a replacement at the position after losing, Deshaun Watson for the entire season.
In retrospect, signing Joe Flacco was the best move they could have made because, he saved their season at that point.
Since taking over for the team in Week 12, Flacco has been playing exceptionally well and is among the finest quarterbacks in the league.
For this reason, NFL legend J.J. Watt used Twitter to challenge all the teams that rejected Flacco when he reached out to them.
Flacco wasn’t exactly young, and he didn’t look well with the Denver Broncos or the New York Jets, so it’s understandable why not many people saw him as a viable starting choice.
However, as the years pass, there are an increasing number of quarterback injuries,
and past performance indicates that having a seasoned player in the locker room never hurts.
One of the most seasoned quarterbacks on the market, Flacco could have provided the Jets with the veteran leadership they sorely needed after Aaron Rodgers was lost,
but they decided to continue with Zach Wilson.
The Browns will now play at least one postseason game, while the Jets will watch the playoffs from home.
That’s why a champion’s heart should never be undervalued, and the Browns deserve praise for taking a risk on a former rival.
