According to Hernan Castillo, Rojo received a call from Tata Martino, the head coach, and the Argentine, inviting him to travel to Miami. After departing the Red Devils in 2020, the former Manchester United player has been playing professionally in Argentina with Boca Juniors. His contract, however, doesn’t end until December 31, 2025.

After his Boca Juniors season concluded in November, the Argentine entered the offseason. Their next scheduled game is a cup match versus Central Norte on February 1, 2024.
