Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief sees gift from Messi

A signed T-shirt from Inter Miami star striker Lionel Messi was given to Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, by volunteer Yuriy Sapronov of Kharkiv.

According to Ukrinform, Sapronov wrote about it on Facebook.

“I gave Valerii Fedorovych (Zaluzhnyi, ed.) a T-shirt that Messi had signed after a game. Naturally, I went to Inter Miami games while I was in Miami, and I also made it to their training because of our Serhiy Kryvtsov (Messi’s Ukrainian colleague at Inter Miami, ed.). Leo signed with respect,” Sapronov stated.

The volunteer noted in the post’s comments that Messi was given a copy of Times magazine, which included a portrait of Zaluzhnyi on the cover and was autographed by the president.

According to Goal, Lionel Messi of Argentina is the 2023 FIFA World Player of the Year.

Messi is also the most decorated player in football history, having won 43 awards in total.
