‘Head is turned’… Rangers can snare striker with 41 goals in 71 games into Ibrox move
According to Lee McCulloch, Rangers may be able to persuade an opponent in the Scottish Premiership to sell their standout striker during the January transfer window.
Lawrence Shankland, the captain of the Hearts, is that man, of course. The Scotland attacker, who has been constantly linked to Rangers, recently responded to rumors over his future.
Typical of him, his response was evasive. However, there’s no escaping the rumors, especially with the window opening up in a month and Hearts CEO Andrew McKinlay stating that the Jambos will only be persuaded to sell Shankland by a “exceptional” offer.
This evaluation disproves McCulloch’s earlier assertion that Rangers could lure the 28-year-old striker to Ibrox with a lowball £1 million offer to Hearts. In addition, he mentioned a few weeks ago that the Edinburgh team would only want for £2 million in exchange for him. However, the former Rangers captain seems to have contradicted himself on Friday when he talked to PLZ Soccer.
