Athletic that whenever he looks back on the incident, he has nothing but regrets.

The 58-year-old believes the team still performed as well as they could, though. They kept the majority

of the team together while reducing the amount of damage.

He acknowledges that they could have handled the matter better if he thinks back on it.

The five-time NBA champion hates that the 24-year-old had to leave in one of the worst ways possible.

He thought the team became better when he was around. Consequently, he also thought the team helped the point guard improve.

Kerr also respects Poole for putting the work in. He also adapted to the demanding environment of the league,

especially when he was still new to it.

Furthermore, the head coach acknowledges that Poole supported the squad when the regular players were unable to.

And when he did carry, it made him more of a player for the other teammates.

The Washington Wizards aren’t doing too well, as they’re 14th in the Eastern Conference, only above the Detroit Pistons.

Meanwhile, Poole is trying his best to get wins in. In their latest loss to the Sacramento Kings, he put in quite the work. However, it wasn’t enough to get the win for his squad.

The 24-year-old put in 28 points and two assists. Additionally, he made 10 of his 18 shots. Despite this,

the Wizards still lost to the Kings 131-143.
