Steph, Klay share favorite memory of Poole during Warriors tenure During his final season with the Warriors,

Jordan Poole was sent to the Washington Wizards, received a fist to the

face from teammate Draymond Green, and exited the playoffs early. That being said, Poole’s stay in the Bay wasn’t entirely unpleasant.

Here are a few of Poole’s best memories from his four years with the Warriors, which he shared with his former teammates before

Golden State takes on Washington on Friday night at Chase Center.

Warriors guard Klay Thompson said to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, “I think I went for 35 and he went for 30 in one game we were

starting together.” “We overcame a 20-point deficit while we were playing the Jazz. It was a wonderful

realization for us that we could succeed.

Thompson is talking about a game that happened in the latter part of the regular season. During the last 12 games, Poole filled in for

an injured Steph Curry, averaging 25.8 points on 42.1 percent shooting, five rebounds, and 6.2 assists in 35.4 minutes.

Curry returned for the playoffs, but Poole’s production was just as consistent, averaging 17 points on 50.8 percent shooting that helped

the Warriors secure their fourth NBA title in eight seasons.

“For him to do what he did,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “Start the first 50 games, cede his position to Klay and then play a huge

role in the playoffs. Started games, came off the bench, did everything that we needed Jordan to do.”

In the first three games of the series against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference playoffs, Poole scored 30, 29, and 27

points. Kevon Looney, who was recalling a transition 3-pointer against DeMarcus Cousins,

said that was one of his greatest memories of Poole.

At that moment, Looney told Slater, “I thought, ‘Oh, he’s going to be really good.'” Is he worried to be doing that in his first playoff

experience? Even after coming off the bench, Steph put on a spectacular show.
