Kerr offers intriguing counter to Shaq’s Curry proposition There is a long-running argument about

where Steph Curry ranks among the greatest NBA players of all time.

But after one of his trademark flurries helped the Warriors superstar seal a 132-126 overtime victory over the

Boston Celtics on Tuesday at Chase Center, Shaquille O’Neal posed a question on “Inside the NBA” following the game,

which sparked a lively discussion among fans of and opponents of Curry.

“I have a question… He’s been the best shooter his entire career, so I’m not saying, I’m just curious.

Is it appropriate to declare him the greatest player of all time now that I ask? O’Neal enquired.

Shaq faced resistance right away, as fellow pundit Kenny Smith questioned him about whether he

would rank Curry higher than himself among the greatest players of all time.

Indeed. Much better. Of course, Shaq replied. He’s my favorite player because of this. I watched 20 years prior to playing 20 years.

He’s unlike any guy I’ve ever seen. He’s winning championships and doing it consistently.

I’m not placing him anyplace; rather, I’m asking: Is it time to just include him in the conversation with all of this blabbering?

I want to know whether you guys think he’s one of the greatest players of all time already.

On Wednesday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr spoke on 95.7 The Game’s “Willard and Dibs” program.

When questioned about Shaq’s remarks, Kerr had a thought-provoking rebuttal.

I adore that. I believe the question—which may not even be a debate—is this: Is he the greatest player of all time?

Kerr queried. There are numerous perspectives on who is the greatest and most skilled,

among other things. You can take into account things like length, size, and athleticism as well as scoring from inside or outside.

“Steph is the best basketball player I’ve ever seen, in my opinion. Nobody has ever been able to shoot,

handle the ball, shoot from the distances that he shoots from, finish in the lanes with such rhythm and fluidity,

or with such skill. Nobody is as adept with the ball as Steph Curry is, in my opinion.”

Whether he’s the ‘greatest’ or the ‘most skilled’ or the ‘most influential’ player of all time,

Curry’s illustrious NBA career can be defined in many ways.

However you want to define it though, there’s no denying Curry deserves his rightful place in The

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
