Pittsburgh — The Pittsburgh Steelers are facing a great deal of external criticism as pundits, former players, and now rival teams are challenging the team’s culture—or lack thereof.

Additionally, Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd shared his opinion on Pittsburgh’s troubles following wide out George Pickens’s viral remarks.

Pickens said that he decided not to block a rushing play that would have been a score if Pickens’s defender hadn’t made the stop. Why? since he wished to avoid incurring any harm.

“I was just trying to prevent the Tank Dell situation, the same thing that happened to (him),” Pickens stated. “I want to avoid getting hurt. Staying too low on the block makes it very easy to get ran over.

” Then, Bengals’ Boyd reacted to those sentiments, calling out the Steelers’ locker room and lack of “camaraderie.”

Boyd said to ESPN’s Ben Baby, “It just shows the lack of camaraderie that’s over there.” “I can’t really speak for anyone, but even in difficult situations, you still need to give your all and support your team. In a video I saw of him on a pick, it seemed as though he was not attempting to pursue it. See, that’s not how I do things. That’s something they need to handle. Your genuine colours will come forth when things aren’t going well. I prefer to play the same role every week, regardless of how things are going for me.”

Boyd’s remarks prompted Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. to respond, saying the Bengals wide receiver isn’t in the locker room and therefore isn’t aware of the team’s culture. “He is ignorant. This locker room is not where he is. It doesn’t matter what he thinks,” Porter Jr. “I think he misinterpreted it. Since he isn’t in the locker room, he is unaware of what is happening there. This season’s second meeting between the Steelers and Bengals will take place in Week 16. With a 1-0 series advantage, Pittsburgh will need to win the season series to maintain their postseason prospects going into these last three weeks.
