Jayson Tatum, a great player for the Boston Celtics, has never missed more than 18 games in a season, demonstrating his remarkable resilience.

Sadly, he will miss his first game of the 2023–24 season due to a sprained ankle he sustained

on Tuesday night after an overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Tatum had to leave the game after sustaining an injury in the first quarter, but he was able to return

without being limited in terms of minutes. Throughout the first 26 games of the season,

the 25-year-old has averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.

The second leg of Boston’s back-to-back against the skilled Sacramento Kings is scheduled for Wednesday night.

Jayson Tatum will be out due to injury. The Kings played their most recent game on Monday,

defeating the Washington Wizards 143-131, while the Celtics are coming off a defeat.

Despite the fact that Tatum’s absence will be felt, the Celtics appear

to be placing a high value on remaining healthy throughout the season. For instance,

teammate Kristaps Porzingis missed the game against the Warriors while recovering from a calf strain.

Tatum finished with a dismal performance against the Warriors, scoring just 15 points

on a poor 5-of-17 shooting performance. Porzingis and fellow standout Jaylen Brown

will need to step up because they will now be the center of attention for the Kings’ defense in his absence.

At 20-6, Boston still holds the best record in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile,

the Kings are doing well in the Western Conference, sitting in fourth place with a 16-9 record.

And even though Jayson Tatum will be out, this battle between two prospective

playoff teams should deliver some excitement.
