After yet another setback, restless Celtic residents have admitted to having worry for their team, according to Rangers hero Ally McCoist.

The winners under Brendan Rodgers have dropped their previous two Premiership games, and the team’s lacklustre 2-0 loss to Hearts incited a fervent’sack the board’ shout from irate fans. On a weekend in which Rangers won the Viaplay Cup, Brendan Rodgers stated following the game that the responsibility rested with him and his team. And McCoist acknowledges that fans of the club who watch them every week perceive something is wrong in Glasgow’s east end.

He stated, “The natives are getting pretty restless,” while speaking on talkSPORT. You are familiar with Celtic and Rangers. A catastrophe or calamity could strike in as little as 45 or 90 minutes. They weren’t that good (against Hearts), in my opinion. I saw the second half of Kilmarnock, and they were not excellent. Kilmarnock were outstanding; you must clarify that. They defeated Feyenoord in the middle of the week, but they appeared to be thoroughly defeated during the weekend. While I was talking to several of the boys, friends who had attended the game, they expressed their extreme disappointment. They claimed there wasn’t much fighting. Celtic is going through some interesting circumstances.”

While covering the Hampden climax as a commentator, McCoist acknowledges that although Rangers’ 1-0 victory over Aberdeen was difficult to watch, he could appreciate the brilliance of what manager Philippe Clement had accomplished in his first two months in charge.

“To be quite honest, the game wasn’t that good,” he continued. Though I have witnessed greater football matches, this is one of those occasions in life where you have to raise the trophy and have your name on the Cup. The second half saw Rangers play better; they had more opportunities and should have won the match. However, it won’t be remembered as a classic.

“This is Philippe Clement’s first cutlery, and he’s off to a great start. That’s him going 14 games without losing and fresh off winning the Europa League group following his victory in Seville.”
