After his outstanding growth with Rangers,

Abdallah Sima has stated that he believes a way to stay at the team permanently may be discovered.

At the pre-match press conference before the important Europa League encounter in Betis on December 13,

the on-loan Brighton forward said, “I hope we can find something for me,”

and the club has “everything for me to be happy,” with boss Philippe Clement.

Discussions about a permanent deal for the 22-year-old have reportedly already begun,

despite the fact that the asking price is currently too high,

according to The 4th Official (8 December). Sima stated (17m 50s):

“You know in football everything can happen.

To be honest I’m really happy to be in Glasgow and wearing

this special shirt because for me it’s a team I really like.

I said in my first interview that’s a club I really like.”

“Everything I need to be happy is there.”

I’m glad to be here and am hopeful that we will discover something for me.

But right now, what matters most is that I’m thrilled to be here and support the team.

Persuaded

Sima’s early commitment to the Light Blues appears to be a very positive move,

and it undoubtedly boosts the team’s chances of staying at Ibrox.

For a player his age and skill level,

a season in the SPFL might have been just another training ground before a Premier League career,

either with his parent club or somewhere else.

However, it appears that he has developed a bond with the Gers that has persuaded

him to stay until the summer, and based on the evidence thus far, it is fortunate that he does.

He has established himself as the main goal threat in a team that has far too few of them,

with 13 goals in 27 Rangers appearances across all competitions.

He has already been recognised for his performances with the October Player of the Month title in the SPFL.

Kemar Roofe struggles to maintain his fitness,

Cyriel Dessers struggles to find form, Sam Lammers struggles to find much success,

and Danilo’s recent significant knee injury has ruled him out for the long run.

Although the campaign’s first half has fallen far short of expectations,

especially under Michael Beale, things have improved under Clement,

and Rangers are theoretically still in position to win a triple or perhaps a quadruple,

depending on what happens in Spain.

That might seem excessively optimistic given the squad’s current shortcomings,

but without Sima, things would be much worse,

so if a deal with Brighton can be struck, that would be very beneficial.
