Rangers departure is now anticipated for Beale’s January signing

The Gers: Kieran Dowell’s departure is expected to occur at Ibrox in January.

After finding it difficult to get playing time since joining the Rangers in the summer,

Kieran Dowell may want to leave the team in January, according to the Daily Record.

When the transfer window opens on December 7, the publication revealed on its website that Dowell is only one of several Ibrox players who would be thinking about their future.

As part of Michael Beale’s summer rebuild, Dowell signed with the Rangers;

however, he has only made three league appearances this season and has found it difficult to stay healthy.

Just hasn’t gone far enough

Given his lack of playing time this season, Dowell has managed to look like a waste of money even though there was no cost associated with bringing him to Ibrox as he signed a free transfer after his contract with Norwich City expired.

The midfielder had a reasonably good start and demonstrated that he had something to offer at this level, but Philippe Clement has not given him much of a chance in a season marred by injury.

The 5-0 loss to Dundee was his last appearance in a matchday squad since August.

In that game, he played just eight minutes off the bench, touched the ball three times,

gave it away twice, failed to try a single pass, and then vanished once more.

Rangers may want to sell him for a quick profit when the transfer market opens in January if Clement doesn’t think highly of him and he isn’t getting the playing time he was hoping for when he moved north of the border.
