Jamie Carragher forecasts the result of Aston Villa’s Premier League matchup against Arsenal at Villa Park.

The former Liverpool defender asserted that this table-topping Arsenal club should be too much to handle at Villa Park,

even after the victory over Pep Guardiola’s team.

will just be too strong for them,” Carragher stated in his weekly Premier League predictions for Super 6,

Arsenal has demonstrated that they can struggle moving forward after limiting Newcastle

and Chelsea to just 0.57 and 0.99 predicted goals, respectively, in their difficult away games at Villa Park.

Villa also stopped Manchester City to just two shots during the game,

demonstrating the strength of their defensive system.

Away trips to some of the league’s better teams have proved difficult for Arsenal,

losing to Newcastle and West Ham and drawing with Chelsea, while their 1-0 win at Brentford was an impressive result,

but the xG of 1.19-1.65 suggests on another day it would have been a draw.

Douglas Luiz’s ability to produce corners could pose a threat to David Raya in the Arsenal goal,

as he has previously demonstrated this season that he can struggle in the air. Meanwhile,

Villa had a 100% corner swing against Man City, with six to City’s zero.

Two goals that come to mind are Elijah Adebayo’s goal for Luton and Mykhailo Mudryk’s own goal at Stamford Bridge.

Both of these instances showed Raya struggling with high balls, which Villa and Luiz could take advantage of.

Villa Park, where Emery’s squad has won 14 straight games and shown to be a strong force,
