For Liverpool’s man in the dugout, he is seemingly expecting all of the above to be challenging for the Premier League title, as he also was keen to highlight ‘incredible’ Aston Villa.

During Wednesday night’s 1-0 victory against Manchester City, Unai Emery’s team was eager to declare to the world—during his post-match press conference—that Pep Guardiola’s team would be “the biggest joke in the history of football” if they were eliminated from the title fight.

The German was also eager to inform Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal that the next match “starts again from 0-0” and “not 4-3 already” following their 97th-minute victory over Luton Town.

Over the weekend, Liverpool defeated Fulham 4-3 at Anfield thanks to two thrilling late goals, and Arsenal did the same at Luton.

With Arsenal leading the Premier League by two points at the moment, these might be pivotal moments in the fight for the championship.

Jurgen Klopp on Manchester City, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester United

On whether the title race will go right to the wire: “I have no clue,” responded Klopp. “If we win it, I hope not.

On Villa’s win against Man City: “If somebody would write Man City off, then it would be the biggest joke in the history of football. That really makes no sense.

“Arsenal is fighting. They had a similar experience as we had a few days before (against Fulham).

It feels really good. Anyway, you have to play the next game from the start again. It’s 0-0 and not 4-3 already. You don’t score a late goal. You don’t take that into the next game.

“Aston Villa is incredible. Man United is there. Don’t play exactly the football they want. But their points are like crazy – the league is incredibly strong.”

Who will win the Premier League title?

First things first, who is competing? Manchester City is the clear front-runner, while Arsenal is sticking to its formula from the previous campaign and Anfield appears to be back to business as usual.

However, should Aston Villa, who finished in third place and defeated the champs handily, also be taken into consideration?

There have been fifteen games played, and at this point you have to answer in the affirmative.

But in February, when the real heat is on, everyone will know who has what it takes to compete for the highest title in English football.
