Rangers are expected to begin talks to sign a Premier League attacker for £7 million

Transfer negotiations regarding the permanent signing of Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima are reportedly scheduled, according to Rangers manager Philippe Clement.

The 22-year-old forward for Senegal has made an impression since joining Ibrox on loan in the summer. He scored his 10th and 11th goals of the year in the victory over St Mirren over the weekend.

The forward received the October Scottish Premiership Player of the Month award prior to this.

Philippe Clement is particularly interested in Abdallah Sima because of his decisive striker play, and although the Brighton loan deal isn’t set to expire until next summer, Rangers are planning to hold negotiations sooner.

Speaking prior to Hearts’ match in the Scottish Premiership, Philippe Clement lauded Abdallah Sima’s form.

Furthermore, the manager from Belgium has asserted that the player can develop well at Rangers and that moving to Ibrox would be advantageous for all parties involved.

The Rangers’ most important player, Clement, has revealed that the team will soon begin contract negotiations with Brighton.

“It’s not about estimating that there will be conversations sooner than that in the summer,” asserts Clement.

Of course, it’s too early to be doing that at this point. The fact that Abdallah is performing and enjoying himself so much in the club is what matters most. That is the initial stage, and from there, we can expand.

“I believe this is a good place for him to grow, as a player, as a person, in everything, if he keeps doing what he is doing now.”
