Mohammed Kudus, a star from West Ham, is optimistic about the future as he makes another impression.
Mohammed Kudus warned that “the best is yet to come” after continuing his incredible
start to life in West Ham colors with a man-of-the-match performance in Sunday’s draw with Crystal Palace.
After being gradually introduced into the club by David Moyes,
The Ghanaian now has five goals in 17 Irons appearances after his opening against the Eagles.
Earlier this month, he also created both goals in the Irons’ late comeback victory at Burnley.
Though Moyes’s team is poised to enter the hectic holiday season fighting on four fronts,
Kudus thinks he is only beginning.
He remarked, “I think I still have more to show.” But kudos to the entire group,
the personnel, and the player care. I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone in the club for their
tremendous assistance in helping me become settled in, as well as to myself for my own hard work.
“I enjoy scoring goals and having an effect on the game.
All I could do when the ball was wide was bring myself into the box, and Vlad [Coufal] produced a wonderful cross.
The Hammers led 1-0 at the interval and appeared to be in control of the game.
However, they once again conceded early in the second half, giving the visitors a chance to even the score.
Although defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, another summer addition,
was at fault for a terrible backpass that gave Odsonne Edouard a chance,
Kudus argued his team ought to have ended the match sooner.
He told Sky Sports, “It was a very tight game and if it’s just 1-0 we’re only one goal away and anything could happen.
” We were clearly trying hard to score the second goal, but sadly we were unsuccessful.
We don’t assign blame to an individual; rather, we attribute the success to the group.
“We’ll find ways to improve our game, be more compact and we can still win games with just one goal.
We need to defend better.”
