Richard Keys believes that Liverpool’s 4-3 victory over Fulham was only possible due of the Kop end.

After falling behind Fulham 3-2 at Anfield in the 80th minute,

Jurgen Klopp’s team rallied to score two goals in the 87th and 88th minutes,

respectively, from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Wataru Endo.

Discussions erupted regarding the validity of Alexander-Arnold’s winning goal,

even though Kostas Tsimikas seemed to shove a Fulham player to the ground before the ball got to his fellow full-back.

Keys believes that if the incident had not occurred in front of the Kop, the goal would not have been awarded.

Keys stated on beIN SPORTS, “It’s only not a foul because it’s at the Kop end.”

“No, that’s not a very pessimistic viewpoint.”

After falling behind twice in the match, Fulham rallied to put on a strong showing at Anfield.

With seven games at home and seven victories, Liverpool’s victory maintained their flawless record at Anfield in the Premier League this season.

Additionally, they have only given up five goals at home, with Fulham accounting for three of those goals.

Jason McAteer, a former midfielder for Liverpool, has said that he believes the Reds’ victory over Fulham should not have stood.

Liverpool prevailed 4-3 at Anfield on Sunday after a gripping Premier League contest that went both ways.

Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the goal for Liverpool with two minutes remaining when the ball fell to him and he slammed it into the net.

But before the ball reached Alexander-Arnold, Kostas Tsimikas shoved a Fulham player in the back, causing controversy.

Furthermore, McAteer believes that a foul should have disqualified the goal that gave Liverpool all three points.

McAteer stated on beIN SPORTS, “I have to admit, I thought there was [a foul in the build up to the goal].”

“I believe Tsimikas lost the ball in his challenge because he pushed into the player’s back.

“Disallowing that is a brave decision, but in my opinion, it’s a foul.”

With the victory, Liverpool has now accrued 31 points from their first 14 Premier League games.

They will play their next game away against Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
