Scottish-born Graeme James Souness  is a former professional football player, manager, and analyst on television.

Midfielder Souness captained the Scotland national team in addition to being the captain of the prosperous Liverpool squad in the early 1980s and the player-manager of Rangers in the late 1980s.

Along with Sampdoria, he played for Middlesbrough and Tottenham Hotspur.

Before taking the helm of Liverpool as manager, Souness started his management career as a manager, first managing Rangers to three Scottish crowns and four league cups.

Later in life, he managed Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, Galatasaray, Southampton, Torino, and Benfica.
