Carlos Vinicius, Rodrigo Muniz heading towards Fulham exit
According to reports, Brazilian teams are interested in signing Carlos Vinicius and Rodrigo Muniz,
two strikers for Fulham.
Even with their three goals in Monday’s victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers,
the Cottagers are among the top flight’s lowest scorers.
Only the three freshly promoted teams have scored fewer goals this season than Marco Silva’s team,
which has scored 13 goals in as many league games.
One of the main causes of Fulham’s difficulties in the last third has been
Aleksandar Mitrovic’s summertime move to Saudi Arabia.
With 111 goals in 206 appearances for the Cottagers, the Serbian international created a
vacuum that no Fulham player has been able to fill.
The West London team is therefore anticipated to make finding a new center-forward their top priority
during the January transfer window.
The likelihood that Fulham will sign a new striker in the upcoming season begs
the issue of whether they will think about offloading at least one of their present forward options.
Journalist Eduardo Gabardo claims that Brazilian teams are interested in signing Muniz and Carlos Vinicius.
According to the source, Palmeiras, the current Brasileirao leaders,
are eager to sign Carlos Vinicius during the winter transfer window.
Carlos Vinicius had to make do with just two Premier League starts in the 2023–24 season as
Silva favored to employ Raul Jimenez.
In his nine competitive games this season, the 28-year-old has only scored twice,
both in an EFL Cup victory over Norwich City and a Premier League victory against Luton Town.
Gremio and Atletico Mineiro are now monitoring Muniz’s circumstances in order to
determine whether to make a transfer.
This season, Muniz has only made eight appearances. His lone goal came during
Fulham’s EFL Cup victory over Ipswich Town earlier this month.
Despite the fact that neither of the two forwards is regarded as a regular starter,
it is unclear if Fulham will permit either of them to depart in the January window.
