TBR Celtic submitted five names that we think should be displayed at the exit,

and one of them was approved by John Hartson.

The former Celtic hero was talking about Mikey Johnston.

Although Hartson likes the winger, he feels he will be free to leave the

team in January because he hasn’t impressed Rodgers and Neil Lennon.

“Well, Mikey Johnston, for me, he gets opportunities and he does it fits and starts some games,”

Hartson said on The Go Radio Football Show.

He positions himself well and moves with amazing speed.

“The boy is capable of playing. He definitely possesses talent.

However, before telling this boy that he needs to look elsewhere, how many chances do you give him?

“I believe Neil Lennon and Brendan Rodgers gave him multiple chances during his first stint.

I’m trying to be honest, but even though it’s not nice for him,

I believe he might be one of the players they would really like to get rid of.

Johnston absolutely appears to have the enchanted touch while

showing up for the Republic of Ireland on international duty.

Man-of-the-match performances against

Gibraltar and New Zealand don’t appear to have put him any nearer to getting normal football under Rodgers this season.

Featuring for 25 minutes against Hibs,

Johnston again failed to impress and he hasn’t been seen in a Celtic jersey since.

The winger is plainly enjoying life as an international player but it seems

that if he wants to continue representing his country,

a Celtic exit is probably the best move for him.
