Matt O’Riley stated that he feels fantastic in a statement to

the mainstream media this afternoon. After receiving his first cap this season,

the Danish international has been playing so

well for his club that Kasper Hjolmund, the manager of his national team,

felt it was time to give him his first full start for his country.

Ever since August, Matty has been incredible,

and he has assiduously absorbed all that Brendan Rodgers has asked

of him in terms of increasing his goal and assist totals.

The Danish player has not only excelled in Scottish

Premiership domestic football but has also shown great promise

in the team’s performance in the UEFA Champions League group stages this year.

He has twice helped Kyogo Furuhashi score our two goals in the competition,

both of which were extremely good.

The former Fulham Academy alumnus has maintained that he is happy in

every area of his life and that this has paid off for him on the field.

“I feel more powerful. both physically and psychologically,

which is advancement. I consider myself to be moving in the right direction

as long as I am getting better, which I believe I have done this season.

Above all, I think more clearly now. When I’m on the pitch,

I’m more forthcoming. I’ve relieved myself of some of the pressure.

I just try to do the best I can for the team when I play;

I don’t go into games expecting to score.

O’Riley, a 22-year-old Danish midfielder of English descent,

has emphasized the importance of maintaining both

physical and mental well-being and disclosed that he enjoys meditation

as a way to stay focused and have an optimistic outlook.

“The biggest thing that has helped the most is just having the best mindset possible,” he said.

“I often meditate. I regularly talk with my friend/life coach who lives in India;

I’m not sure how to put it. I talk about things with him

frequently that I may have held inside of me for a long time.

The standout player for Celtic so far this season continued,

saying, “I might not have had the courage to speak about it,

but I did have the knowledge to just know how to speak out about it.

That has really benefited me, and I would say that it has made me a more well-rounded person overall.

As a result, I feel more comfortable approaching people and more confident.

All of those things taken together have made me feel good about myself.
