Chelsea is in no hurry to find a replacement for USA-bound manager -Emma Hayes
Chelsea are supposed to take as much time as is needed to
designate a substitution for Emma Hayes after
she reported her shock choice to leave toward the finish of the season.
Hayes has consented to become head coach of
the US national team and could turn into the highest-paid female coach in
the world planet.
Talks with US Soccer are ongoing but the 47-year-old could receive a
salary in line with US men’s coach Gregg Berhalter.
Hayes, who has brought home a mind-blowing six titles and
five FA Cups during 11 years at Chelsea,
will stay in control until the end of the season
giving the club time to recognize her replacement.
Chelsea are yet to begin their recruitment process
however, it is perceived former Manchester United
Manager Casey Stoney is among the people who are appreciated.
Stoney is the Manager of US side
San Diego Wave and is reluctant to examine a
possible return of England until after
the NWSL end-of-the play-offs this month.
She is likewise seen as a potential competitor to take over from
England head coach Sarina Wiegman on
the off chance that she leaves her job with
the Lionesses toward the finish of her contract after Euro 2025.
Hayes, who took over at Chelsea in 2012,
declared her departure soon after
the Blues moved three points clear at the top of the
WSL with a 6-0 win over Aston Manor on Saturday.
Chelsea co-sporting directors Laurence
Stewart and Paul Winstanley said:
“Emma has been one of the greatest drivers of progress in ladies’ football.
“Her accomplishments at Chelsea are
unparalleled and will live in the club’s set of experiences for eternity.
“Given all that she has added to
Chelsea in more than 10 years with the club,
and the inheritance she abandons,
we could never hinder her
when she felt it was the perfect
opportunity to seek after another test.”
