Sutton on the windfall in Celtic

Chris Sutton thinks that if English teams come calling this summer,

Celtic might be in for a big financial boost for Cameron Carter-Vickers. He stated to the Daily Record:

“To sign Jota, Celtic had to shell out £6 million.

When the Saudis came knocking, they ended up making £25 million by paying that little bit extra.

Carter-Vickers cost the same £6 million in the same summer.

I would guess you are looking at another £20 million if the English do come calling in the summer.

The fans truly desire to witness that. Larger investments yielding more wholesome returns.

Carter-Vickers and O’Riley will probably stay until at least the summer,

but eventually they’ll leave, and their hefty transfer fees will only serve to reinforce

the idea that higher compensation equates to bigger sales.

All that fans want are guys that are eager to jump right into the team and improve it.

Rangers loan exit likely

After Alex Lowry returned from a loan spell with Hearts,

Rangers are set to let him go.

The Daily Record claims that Philippe Clement will approve another loan exit before

the end of the month and has no intention of using Lowry.

As he develops, Lowry needs to play football with the first team, and with his early comeback,

he won’t receive that at Ibrox. Although his future is uncertain, another financing arrangement becomes appealing.
