Lawrence Shankland to ‘REJECT’ Hearts contract amid Rangers transfer interest
In light of Rangers’ interest in a transfer, Lawrence Shankland is apparently prepared to REJECT Hearts’ latest contract offer.
The 28-year-old Jambos striker has scored 19 goals for the team this season, and several teams are eager to sign him in January.
Although the attacker and the Light Blues have always been connected, Steven Naismith’s team made
one of the largest contract offers to a player as a result of the rumors.
However, according to The Scottish Sun, the striker would not accept the offer because it is merely a
“minimal” raise and insufficient to keep their best player.
Deals to prolong a few players’ stays are on the table, but Naismith noted that it might take some time.
We hope they would recognize the value in sticking and that we have a lot to offer. We shall exert every effort.
Shanks has not been well for the past two days. I continue to hope he makes the team. If not, we’ll manage. Since we have three games
in a week, I’m hoping we can get him back into the mix. After he spoke with the medical staff, the doctor is anxious to keep him away
from the surroundings, just like with any virus problem.
Hopefully, he won’t be leaving his bed today. There will be a lot of talking if he opens the door and leaves to move the car! We’ll wait
and see, but he’s sick. I’m holding out hope that he will be included.
