Bills Officially Rule Out Four Players vs. Chiefs

When the Buffalo Bills play the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday,

they will be without several important players.

Receiver Gabe Davis (knee), cornerback Christian Benford (knee), safety Taylor Rapp (calf),

and linebacker Baylon Spector (back) have all been ruled out of Sunday’s game,

according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott.

Rapp and Davis will have missed their second straight game after missing

Buffalo’s 31-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.

Davis’ departure might be particularly troublesome considering the quality of the Chiefs’

defence and his performance against them during their most recent postseason matchup in 2021.

Davis broke the record for the most receptions in a playoff game with eight receptions

for 201 yards and four touchdowns.

Against Pittsburgh, Spector and Benford both sustained injuries.

Additionally, McDermott stated that on Sunday, game-time decisions will be made about linebackers

Terrel Bernard (ankle), Taron Johnson (concussion), Tyrel Dodson (shoulder), and Rasul Douglas (knee).

Against Pittsburgh, Bernard injured his ankle and needed to be helped off the pitch.

Although he hasn’t practiced yet this week, McDermott is optimistic that he will be able to participate.

Despite his limited practice time, Johnson still needs to clear the concussion protocol in order to play against the Chiefs.

If Douglas is unable to play on Sunday, he would miss his second straight game.

For the first time in their three postseason meetings in the previous four years,

the Bills will host the Chiefs on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium.
