While Harry Souttar has pledged to fight for his position at Leicester, Carlton Palmer thinks the team will undoubtedly leave within the next 12 months.

The towering center-back was being watched by Premier League

clubs in 2021 before an unfortunate and cruel knee injury kept him out of action

for almost the entire year. However,

clubs expressed interest in him again after he played for Australia in the

FIFA World Cup towards the end of the previous year.

Although Souttar made 12 Premier League appearances for City last season,

the Foxes were able to complete a deal close to the transfer deadline in January.

However, under new head coach Enzo Maresca, Souttar has not made many appearances.

Rangers expressed interest in signing the 25-year-old last summer,

but he has only played twice this season across all competitions.

The player has scored 10 goals in 21 appearances for Australia.

Even though Souttar has received very little playing time under Maresca

and seems to be fourth choice at this point,

he still wants to stay with Leicester and is determined to make an impact for the team in the future.

While playing for the Socceroos internationally, Souttar told PerthNow,

“I definitely want to stay and fight for my place.”

“With the results we’ve been getting, I obviously know it’s challenging.

“However, we’ve had some productive chats,

and the manager knows that I’ll always be available to him when he needs me.

“They are currently dominating the league and flying high, making it difficult to get in.

However, all I can do is maintain my fitness and training levels.

Will Harry Souttar be leaving January for Leicester City?

Carlton Palmer, a former England international midfielder,

thinks Souttar will stay at Leicester in January due to his desire to fight for his spot,

but if the Foxes are promoted back to the Premier League in 2024,

then that would be the ideal time for him to leave King Power Stadium.

Palmer told Football League World that despite his lack

of playing time and the team’s current success,

Harry Souttar is determined to stay and fight for his spot at Leicester City.

“Southtar faces fierce competition for a spot in the starting lineup after making just one league appearance for the Foxes this season.

After helping the Socceroos advance to the second round

of the World Cup in Qatar (2022), the Australian gained recognition for his performances.

As a result, in the January transfer window, he left Stoke for Leicester in a deal worth £15 million.

However, the center back is having trouble breaking into the Leicester lineup as 2024 approaches.
