Before leaving for Germany, Hepburn made 21 appearances for the Scottish Championship team and scored three goals.

The winger still has 18 months left on his contract when he signed with Bayern Munich from Celtic in August 2020.

And without much delay, they loaned him out once more, this time to DSV Leoben in the Austrian football second level.

Rene Poms, manager of Leoben, expressed his happiness at the deal. He stated, “We welcome Barry and this is an exciting move for

us.”We hope that both the player and us will benefit from his great offensive talent.”

In the meantime, John Hartson has attacked what he considers to be a “dumb” rumor regarding Gallagher, the son of Neil Lennon, in

front of his prospective Dumbarton debut against Rangers.

Tomorrow night, the League Two team plays the men of Philippe Clement in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. The Rock will

present a live broadcast of the game on Viaplay Sports.

Gallagher Lennon has joined The Sons on loan from parent club St Mirren until the end of the season, it was confirmed yesterday.

Understandably, this instantly led to people jumping to the conclusion the 18-year-old could

play against the Ibrox side in his first game.

Of course, Lennon came in for abuse from the Rangers faithful during his time as a player and manager in the east end of Glasgow.

Sky Sports reporter Mark Benstead wrote on X:  “Signing Lenny’s lad ahead of facing Rangers is WWE-level stuff.”

And the person who objected to this viewpoint was Hartson, a former colleague of Neil Lennon.

He informed the broadcaster on social media that the pressure being applied to the young defender was “unfair” in his reply.

“Mark, you’re looking at it in a stupid way,” Hartson retorted to Benstead. In the game,

Gallagher Lennon must forge his own way.

“He has a famous dad yes but talk about putting the kid under pressure before he’s even kicked a ball. Very unfair.”

The TV man came back: “It was a joke, John. Nothing I say puts him under any more or less pressure.

The lad is making his own way in the game and making a decent fist of it so far.”
