Alan Hutton, a former Scotland and Rangers defender, has pushed Celtic to acquire an English Championship striker who would make a “wonderful”

addition to Brendan Rodgers’ starting lineup.

Despite Rangers having two games remaining and the club leading the Scottish Premiership by eight points, Hutton thinks Rodgers needs more forward

options at Celtic Park.

Additionally, Hutton thinks that Lyndon Dykes, a forward for QPR and Sotland, can help Celtic.

The 28-year-old forward, in Hutton’s opinion, would relieve some of the strain on Oh Hyeon-gyu and Kyogo Furuhashi, the current Bhoys attackers.

In addition to being strongly speculated to transfer to Glasgow, Dykes may consider going back to his own country if Rodgers makes a move.

Despite his poor goal production in the Championship this season—just four goals in 23 games for the Hoops—the 6′ 2″ striker has been a consistent scorer

for his country since 2020.

Hutton also stated to Football Insider that Celtic ought to make the move to sign the Livingston and former Queen of the South player.

“I think he gives you something different,” he remarked. He’s not like Kyogo at all, and we’ve seen what he can do with Scotland.

He runs willingly, puts in a lot of effort to hold the ball aloft, and scores.

“Dykes has that in his locker and will have more opportunities to score at Celtic.

In addition to needing to relieve some of Kyogo’s burden, Rodgers will be searching for someone a little bit different.

He has a lot of pressure to score goals in crucial situations, like the Rangers game.

“They definitely need to hire a new employee.

“Oh, Hyeon-gyu still needs some time to adjust, so there’s still room for improvement.
