In order to maintain his spot in the Australian national squad, Harry Souttar acknowledges that his exile at Leicester City “cannot continue.”

The 25-year-old former defender for Dundee United signed a £15 million contract with the Foxes in January of last year, following

Brendan Rodgers’ approval. However, under Enzo Maresca, Souttar has lost favor at the King Power this season, appearing in just

three Championship games. The massive center back was rumored to be joining brother John at Ibrox on loan in the summer, when

he would join Rangers.

However, it’s unclear if Souttar is on Philippe Clement’s short list of possible candidates as the new manager. Souttar is entirely focused on winning the Asian Cup in Qatar while he is away on international duty with the Socceroos. The stopper did, however, acknowledge that he is not satisfied with his current circumstances at the club.
“I haven’t even considered making a club move,” he stated. As soon as I arrived at camp, all I could think about was this event and our chances of winning.

“The boys have performed incredibly well this season, but it’s been a frustrating period for me personally at the club.” There’s a reason they are in the league where they are. I can’t be too critical. They’re doing a fantastic job if that’s what the management requests. “I feel fantastic. I believe I demonstrated during the World Cup that even after missing a year of football due to an ACL injury, I could still play at a high level. This time, clearly, is different because I’ve been exercising and feeling much better.
