Philippe Clement in Rangers transfer tease as he reveals stance on new signings with firm Yilmaz exit message sent
The Light Blues have signed Fabio Silva so far this window but more incomings could be on their way.
Philippe Clement has told Ridvan Yilmaz he’s going nowhere until Rangers find his replacement.
The Turkish left-back has been at the centre of transfer speculation all month The Ibrox club have already knocked back Galatasaray’s attempt to lure the 22-year-old home to Istanbul after rejecting a £3.4million loan-to-buy bid.
Italians Hellas Verona are also keen on the former Besiktas ace.
However, Clement, who has suffered yet another injury setback after learning that Kieran Dowell would miss two months of action,
says he won’t approve Yilmaz’s departure until he has secured a replacement to back up Borna Barisic as the Light Blues get ready for a pivotal second half of the season.
Following Friday night’s 2-2 friendly match with Copenhagen, Clement declared,
“I fully commit to getting the best out of every player who is here, who is a Rangers player.”
However, we must talk about any offer that a player at Rangers receives that is too good to turn down or that would benefit the team.
That isn’t the case right now.
“Ridvan arrived and got the game going.
We’ll have to wait and see. In the upcoming few months, players must also demonstrate that they genuinely want to be here.
We must ensure that we have answers and be ready for anything,
including every situation.
We have two players in that position (left back).
One’s contract is about to expire, and there are a lot of speculations circulating about the other. It follows that we must be prepared for that role.
We cannot continue with one left-back through three competitions. That’s accurate.
And it is the same in other positions.
The only new player Clement has signed thus far is Wolves star Fabio Silva, who is on loan.
He maintains, however, that he is not becoming irritated with the approaching deadline of February 1.
“In some roles, we require additional personnel,” the large Belgian acknowledged.

We communicate often. Although we’ve been rather busy with those things,
nothing is complete until a signature is agreed upon by the player, us, and the other side.
“So, as I wait, my attention is on the players present.

“For this reason, every manager looks forward to February 1st since it means that this busy time is finally gone.
I’m not irritated.

Gers had been in Spain for the last five days, recharging, and now they were back at Ibrox.
Against the Danes, Clement was able to welcome back Ryan Jack, Tom Lawrence, and Barisic from injury.
However, after Dowell returned from the winter training base crocked,
the Ibrox boss disclosed that there is new trouble on the fitness front. Following the Copenhagen kickabout, Clement,
who witnessed Rabbi Matondo and Cyriel Dessers net, said: “Keiran Dowell was not here because he got injured.
