The newspaper reported via its newsletter [15 January] that the Toffees want the exciting youngster but the Hammers are not

interested in loaning the player out this January.

Mubama is available on a free transfer at the end of the season, having not signed a new contract at London Stadium despite one being offered to him.

“West Ham don’t want striker Divin Mubama going out on loan as it stands,” Simon Jones wrote.

“The England U20 international, who has been monitored by Sunderland, West Brom and Everton, is another available on a

free in the summer who the club have offered a new contract.”

Premier League status

Considering Everton’s continuous issues with FFP, Mubama represents a perfect alternative for a striker target, who could be available for cheap now or for free in the summer.

However, it may take a lot of persuading for the Hammers to allow Mubama to leave before his contract runs out,

with the club suffering from a plague of injuries to Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio in attack,

and Muhammed Kudus away on international duty.

Despite this, Everton needs someone who can score goals. Separated by just one point, the Toffees are at risk from the threat

of relegation and are in desperate need of a goal threat.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has once again failed to consistently provide the goods, with midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure leading the team in scoring with six goals this season.

Beto has also been a dismal addition; in 21 games since joining in the summer, he has only scored three goals.

But with the amount of strain Everton is currently under, Mubama’s age and inexperience could be a concern.

But the club might be willing to take a chance at this time.
