Chicago – When bitterly cold, below-freezing temps arrive this weekend, the City of Chicago is opening additional warming centers.

Anyone in need of a place to warm up can visit the bottom floor of the Harold Washington Library at 400 S.

State Street starting on Saturday evening and continuing until Wednesday, January 17.

According to local officials, migrants who are waiting to be taken to this warming center will also be moved there.
Six other warming centers, activated by the Dept. of Family and Support Services, will open when temperatures are 32 degrees or below.
