GOING, GOING, KWON: WHO’S NEXT?
Yosuke Ideguchi has KWON HYEON-KYU as a new member via the Celtic exit. Since joining the champions for £850,000 in the summer from South Korea, the midfielder has not kicked a ball in competitive play.
Now Kwon, 22, who signed a five-year contract with the Hoops, has secured a loan deal with St Mirren until the end
of the season in an effort to earn some game-time.
Earlier this week, as CQN revealed, the 27-year-old Japanese star Ideguchi permanently switched to J-League
champions Yokohama F Marinos for £740,000.
Nat Phillips, a central defender, left Liverpool at the beginning of the year, and he has since returned.

Paisley boss Stephen Robinson confirmed negotiations with Brendan Rodgers concerning Kwon and he is thrilled to
land the ball-winner who joined up at Parkhead in a double transfer with winger Yang Hyun-jun in July.
Speaking to the Daily Record, the Saints coach praised the qualities of his new addition, saying, “He’s a player who
comes highly recommended.” The fact that Celtic was eager for him to visit us is a credit to the coaching staff here.He
was signed by Celtic for a large sum of money after playing a lot of games in South Korea. We felt he would come in
and contribute strength to the midfield, which was an area we needed to enhance.
“We’re thrilled to have him in. Brendan Rodgers and I have had some excellent conversations about him.”
Yuki Kobayashi, a center defender from Japan who has been connected to Bologna and Lecce in Serie A, is probably
the next to depart. Since Rodgers’ return in June, the 23-year-old left-sided defender, who signed with the team as a
free agent from Vissel Kobe a year ago, has not played.
While playing for Australia in the Asian Cup, winger Marco Tilio has only played 28 minutes, making brief substitute
appearances against Motherwell and Hibs. It’s possible that he will be temporarily transferred home.
