Time for Thiago Odin Holm – remember him – to shine for Celtic
Back in the summer, Thiago Odin Holm signed a £2.6 million contract with Norwegian team Valerenga. Just
under twenty-one, the young midfielder is still highly regarded. Despite having made 11 appearances for Celtic
thus far, he hasn’t played since the team’s 2-1 victory over Feyenoord in December, primarily because of
sickness.
Holm appears to be a pretty polished player. Even in his raw form, it’s clear that he has what it takes to be a
highly successful player for Celtic. Given that Reo Hatate is away on international service and that David
Turnbull’s future is uncertain, it’s possible that we will see a little more of Odin after the break. His skill is
obvious.
Brendan sees more of him than we do so he obviously going to know when Odin is ready to return. But let’s hope
that the break has given him a chance to get back to full fitness and has allowed him to put his illness behind him
so that we can see him more of him soon.
Ge’s a player with great potential, who could prove to be a vital player for us going forward and it would be great
if he could get some minutes in the upcoming Scottish Cup tie against Buckie Thistle a week on Sunday. Bet you
can’t wait for that game to come around?
