without up to seven first-team players in order

played since sustaining a calf injury during the

1-0 victory over Arsenal in December, but he

was expected to return to training this week.

Emery has not yet stated if he will play, and it

doesn’t appear probable that he will start.

Emiliano Buendía, on the other hand, is still

sidelined due to a significant knee injury,

although he may be back in the gym next

month.

The Premier League season has seen only 10

minutes of action from Winger Traoré, and he

won’t be playing any more for a few weeks at

least as he has joined the Burkina Faso side for

the AFCON 2024 in the Ivory Coast. If the

Burkinabe team advances far in the

tournament, he might not return until

Since Ollie Watkins, Moussa Diaby, and Jhon

Durán all believed to be healthy, Emery will be

players to use in the middle of the park.

in the starting lineup, Colombian Durán scored

one of Villa’s four goals in the team’s opening
