Unexpected development in Rangers’ alleged pursuit of the former £33 million Premier League star

Rangers supporters receive a clear update on their pursuit of former Fenerbahce forward Michy Batshuayi. There is

“nothing” to the rumors that Rangers is interested in signing Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi from

Fenerbahce.

According to prominent club insiders Heart & Hand, there is no truth to the rumors that Rangers is interested in

loaning the 30-year-old.

The idea that the Gers would make a short-term trade for Batshuayi in January had Rangers supporters thrilled.

It comes as the Fenerbahce striker is expected to depart the Istanbul team ahead of this summer’s European

Championships after falling out of favor in Turkey.

But there had been serious concerns about Rangers’ capacity to cover the hitman’s salary.

Not only have Heart & Hand taken action to end an agreement, but Sky Sports has also done so, albeit with a less

firm statement that a move is “unlikely.”

“Nothing in” Rangers links for Michy Batshuayi

We always seem to be duped by one of these “too good to be true” transfer rumors throughout transfer windows, and

Michy Batshuayi is the latest example.

As the season entered its second half, the Belgian striker would have been a significant addition and a declaration of

determination.

It turns out that Rangers are not the front-runners to recruit the striker, which deals a serious damage to the veracity

of the first rumors.

As the season approaches its second half, all eyes will be on the striker that Philippe Clement and Rangers are

genuinely seeking to sign.

Rangers’ only recognized number nine right now is Cyriel Dessers due to the long-term absences of Danilo and

Kemar Roofe.

Additionally, Portuguese striker Fabio Silva has joined the team on a temporary loan from Wolves for the rest of the

campaign.

The search for a January Ibrox striker is still ongoing.

Unlike Michy Batshuayi, who once cost £33 million, Rangers have been linked to a number of attackers who have not

yet been ruled out by club sources.

Emmanuel Dennis, a forward valued at £20 million for Nottingham Forest, is one of them. He suffered greatly

during his first-half season loan stay in Turkey.

Lawrence Shankland, another beloved player for the Hearts, is still being linked to a January transfer to the Ibrox

club.
Rangers intend to mount a strong title campaign, so whoever joins the team will have to bear the burden of Ibrox

expectation.

But as Rangers supporters suck their wounds and allow themselves to get a bit carried away once more, it won’t be

Michy Batshuayi.
