Customized flags for six fan groups were unveiled at Villa Park as part of the team’s ongoing collaboration with the Fans for Diversity initiative
At the team’s Europa Conference League match
against Legia Warszawa in November, flags with
the names and logos of Villa & Proud, Villans
Together, Villa Bellas, Saathi Villans, Punjabi
Villans, and AVDSA (Aston Villa Disability
Supporter Association) were flown for the first
time.
The flags’ permanent placement at Villa Park is
the most recent development in the club’s
partnership with our fan clubs, which
contributes to making Aston Villa an inclusive
place for all.
The Football Supporters’ Association and Kick It
Out collaborated to create Fans for Diversity,
which is how the flags were created and
manufactured.
In order to make sure that all football fans,
regardless of age, handicap, gender, color,
religion, sexual orientation, or any other
protected trait, feel secure and welcome during
the game, the campaign aims to promote
diversity in football.
