Time is ticking, but we’ve got to be positive…

It’s now ten days into the transfer window and we’ve failed to make a signing thus far. There has been a few

outgoings with Yosuke Ideguchi leaving on a permanent deal to Japanese Champions Vissel Kobe, with Celtic

actually making a small profit on the player, and the likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke and Alexandro Bernabei also

look to be heading out on a temporary basis.

Is the club simply cleaning house before we make any commitments to prospective new members? Hopefully, as

we are lacking in numbers, particularly up front, with five players of our team serving overseas.

Naturally, we still have three weeks to negotiate any deals, so patience is required. However, given our board’s

seeming indifference to in comings, it seems sense that people are getting antsy.

I wouldn’t use the fact that we haven’t been heavily linked with anyone to have cause for concern as we very

rarely, if ever, update the media on our transfer targets.

But the fact remains we do need new faces in our squad, and quality ones at that. Hopefully we are working hard

behind the scenes to get the required players in. Because if the window shuts and we haven’t brought in new

faces, and the right ones at that, then the pressure will mount on the board.
