Great Move’ – Four Lads react to official Rangers statement today
Four Lads have praised the “great news” that Rangers have revealed about their intentions to host supporters inside Ibrox, beginning with Livingston’s visit the following month.
The Gers announced on their official website on Tuesday, January 9, that a trial will start the next month in an effort
to increase the quantity of home fans’ tickets available for purchase.
Instead of sitting in the Govan West Corner, visiting teams who do not reserve a lot of seats will now be
accommodated in the Club Deck.
The Livingston game will serve as a trial run, and the club will then choose whether to replicate the plan for more
matches of a same caliber.
On January 9th, Four Lads Had A Dream sent a tweet: “Excellent move, and it’s a good thing to maximize our
supporters.”
Can only be advantageous
The team emphasizes that this program will only be implemented for away games where there is a little amount of
space reserved for away fans.
This implies that tickets are available to visiting clubs upon request and that they are not being fraudulently obtained.
However, as seen by this example from Livingston on February 3, there are enough seats available in the Club Deck
to accommodate fans traveling to Ibrox for the Scottish Premiership match.
This will free up more tickets for Rangers fans, which should improve the atmosphere overall.
With over 20,000 fans on the season ticket waiting list, it’s obvious that action was necessary to meet that kind of
demand.
On its face, the plan seems perfectly reasonable, and if Livingston’s experiment proceeds as planned, it should be
implemented on a regular basis.
